I'm heading to Europe later this year; very unexpected trip with Dad to do a European River Cruise.

My parent are moving, so I’ve had to clean out my childhood room. Found a surprising amount of old toys and cards that I had long forgotten amount (mostly Star Wars, no tfs unfortunately). Managed to sell enough to fund MP BW Megatron, without the guilt of using “new” money lol

As of recent I've found myself totally geeking out over these mini-form PCs that you can get nowadays. It's this general feeling of awe at what modern technology has achieved, even with something that's not quite as powerful as a regular desktop or laptop.

I am referring to these little compact computers that you can be fitted onto a flatscreen monitor or TV's rear VESA mounting bracket. They're about the same dimensions, though thickness vary by model. For example the Intel NUC range, Gigabyte Brix, Asus Chromebox, etc.

There are even smaller USB stick computers too, but I do quite admire these little boxes that are effectively bare minimum desktop PCs made up of laptop parts. They retain some of that DIY charm found in the old desktop since you generally have to supply your own hard drives and memory.

I brought a NUC in late 2013 to replace my desktop that took up too much room, was noisy and collected dust like anything ..
I keep on telling myself I'll upgrade my current one soon, but .. I don't really need to
