I've spent 3 days recording a full lets play of a game... Forgot to check what the visuals looked like and while fine on one computer, they are dark on another to the point of barely being able to see. I can apply a filter to brighten it but when it hits other levels the filter might make them way too bright.

My suggestion is to ask about Tnt shipping. It costs a little more than EMS but arrives within a week and has no custom clearance issues.

Looks like we are likely in line for another price increase of our plastic crack.

Anxiety. Decided to try and get to Armageddon tomorrow for a bit so anxiety about it has already started. Be the largest amount of people I have been around in 2 or 3 years.

Snapped one of my Wolverine claws, I'm sure it can be fixed but I don't know how myself.

undoubtedly said it before but large Transformers like Trypticon and Fortress Maximus. Great looking figures but their large size makes them clash in collection set up because you need a big crate to store them, and when they are in shelving they need to be split up because together they cover an entire shelf and it looks dumb.

Not so bad if the collection room is able to spread out with tables and risers and all that but this is also a bedroom and I can't have them in other places...

Large toys in general are an irritation. **stares at large Millennium Falcon in Hallway**

Oh and stores that run sales when you can't afford to buy the things during the sale but they are also the best price they ever have been at 50% off.

Missing the old days, when things where booming here and toy hunting was fun, I think I'm about done with collecting, I know the Facebook groups are doing well but you can't have a speculation post there without it getting out of hand, pulse con not this weekend but the following, maybe that will light the fires one last time

I certainly miss the times we could go to stores and find things we wanted, know that if it was showing in one place it would soon come to other spots soon and there was a multitude of things to get excited to come and there was less "True" fan talk.

These days its a lot of bare shelves (If people can get to stores/feel safe enough to go), items in one location that never show elsewhere and there's a limited amount of product so its hard to help other collectors, some products that are only showing in certain stores (Toyworld, EB Games, The Warehouse, KMart, etc) and their online ability to provide certain figures is a gamble because they list everything under the same bar code so you may be getting something from the wave they have pictured, or you might be getting it from a different wave entirely and they don't allow you to pick the one you want. For me a lot has ended up in the priced out area, its just not worth the amount (IMO) they are asking. Living rural can make some of it even more impossible, Mighty Ape is great with Primate because its one small price to get a lot of things posted in a year, but other places like EB Games can have postage of $50+ for games and collectibles which isn't worth it when the figure you're buying is $30 or the old game you got is all of $5. I ordered the MOTU Origins Skeletor and He-Man off of Amazon and it cost me less to have them posted from the US than it does to get something posted within the country.

Not to mention all the cancelled pre-orders, waiting for over a year with constant reassurances that my Revan would be coming from EB Games only to get a half assed apology and a "Come into the store to get your money" which is pointless coz getting there costs more than the money I'd be getting refunded. Mighty Ape were good for Earthrise Prime, refunded the full price and gave me a bit of credit as a sorry for something that was not their fault and paid off because eventually they did manage to get some alongside their Kingdom order but its really become one of those world wide issues now and it started prior to the pandemic, thats hurting the collecting community.

For me, there's just too many people collecting things now-a-days in my area but no where near enough stock to support it. So everything becomes a competition to get things while they're on the shelf still, constantly checking in hopes you'll be there at the right moment, rush in or you miss out etc etc. It gets really tiresome.

And the price, ugh the price just keeps going up and up well beyond what many of these things are actually worth. I have no interest in them personally but the new Eternals Marvel Legends were priced at $55(!) each for a basic figure at Toyworld.   I know Toyworld is terrible and the Warehouse has them cheaper but the point is you don't always get that option sadly. They'll just price people out of collecting at this rate so I guess it wont matter.

There is also another thing, we are now going over ground that already have some really good toys, this means I expect so much more, but they seem to far short, let's take Rhinox his new toy is no where near as good as the FOC one, or scorp, besides the paint job and head being more show accurate the old toy nukes this one, next year they are tackling Unicron trig, some beasts and prime, here is the thing the prime toys are epic, no not just epic they are brilliant , arcee and knockout are on the tables if the rumors are true, okay arcee for scale might be good but knockout is rumored to be a jazz repaint.

Okay rant about toys changing over lol.

We have always been expensive, but I feel like this is gonna really hurt the fandom

I joined pretty late here, but even when I joined it was still quite busy here. I loved it. I've found myself dropping off a bit and selling on a lot of what i acquired. I guess that was quite good as i had a few moments of feeling overwhelmed with just how many figures i had amassed. Prices are definitely a big turn off for sure, but i also feel the same as some of you guys in that there's just so many people competing for the same stuff and it's taken away a lot of the enjoyment for me.

That being said i'm having a good time with what i currently have, going through some storage and changing out figures from all sorts of toylines (zoids being the big favourite right now) on the shelves which helps reignite that fun and passion for the hobby. I do miss the amount of activity that used to go on here still. Hope you're all well and coping with all the craziness at the moment!
