Tricky's Workshop

Postby TrickyFingersNZ » Sun Mar 01, 2015 1:23 pm

Hey guys, I'm just going to post all my WIP stuff here, and if I ever actually finish something and take a bunch of nice pics I'll make a separate gallery.

First up is TF Prime Arcee which I originally painted cartoon style. Although she looked pretty good I got bored a few nights ago and decided to "movie" it up so painted her a nice metallic blue and will do some usual wear and tear for effect and finishing touches when I get a chance.

Looks good, kinda battle-worn looking which is cool.

Human Alliance Bumblebee near completion. Just need to gloss a few bits up and add a little more detail and damage.

My UFO Mega Arm turned up last week, very happy with it! Fixing that terrible, terrible excuse for an arm has given him so much more presence. Want to work on his head now, have seen some cool mods online to widen it and make it more accurate. Can't wait to finish him.

Also working on this guy. Bought payload off trade me a few weeks back and have base painted him as Long Haul. Now the hand painting goodness begins.

Added steel ball joints to his hands for much more articulation, looks better now how his arms hang more naturally. Considering the mod to bring the bar above his head back but looks tricky.

Spent half an hour or so doing the back pack mod for human alliance Sideswipe, I think it makes a world of difference.

Here's the link if anyone is interested...

Thanks Mauler, update seeing there is interest :)

Done several rust washes and some metallic detail, copper, alloy etc and a little wear and tear. Still a lot more to do, will really pop once I panel line everything.

Found a good base for some decent feet for Blackout. Have wanted to do something about him for a while but this kinda fell into place tonight. He'll never be scale, but at least he can see eye to most of the others on the shelf. Just need to figure out how it's going to fit and what other bits I can find to add to it. Should be sweet once it's finished.
