A big thankyou to my contact at Hasbro for getting back to me with this juicy info. All we could want to know regarding releases for 2008. I forgot to ask about more Wave 3/4 of Animated but I can assume that we'll be getting more of that.

Movie:
WILL get Premium Ironhide and Blackout - due out in Nov, hopefully earlier.
One more case of Deluxes, including Stealth Bumblebee, due Oct.

Revenge Of The Fallen:
Shelf date of May 31
More info available in Feb from Hasbro US

Animated:
Pleased with sales so far, Hasbro reps will be checking up on the backlog of Animated voyagers

25th Anniversary Optimus Prime:
Pushed back to early 09 now, been offered to all retailers hence the likely delay.

Universe:
Deluxe wave 3 due for October release, no signs of a Wave 4 in 2008

Universe Special Edition:
Expected in late November, deluxe-class only, no specifics as to whether it'll be an exclusive but seems we WILL see it on shelves here.

My intital thought was "That doesn't really seem like very much at all".

Then I realised that there's only three months left in the year, so really, it's quite a bit hactually.

Indeed, at least 10 new toys across the boards. Not to mention more stock of the Animated Voyagers (I'll assume) and perhaps wave 2 of Universe Voyager/Ultra. Seems we'll have a good selection to buy for Christmas.

Thanks for sourcing the info.

I presume these are the black-box classics repaints we saw the other week?

Sweet, thanks for the info SSNZ.

Universe wave 4 is technically 25th wave 1, as that Starscream turned up in packaging shots with a silver logo on the top right corner telling us it was the 25h Anniversary. Along with Generation 1 series above the plastic on the card.

Ironhide yes, Ratchet no.

Wave 3 is Ironhide, Silverstreak and Sideswipe.

Thanks for the news!

:) I might possibly be a little slow on the uptake, especially if my next question has been answered in a previous thread/reply:

Does anyone know which wave Ultra Universe Silverbolt will be in, and do we have any news on this?

:)

He is Wave 2 of the Ultra Class assortment (2 figures per case)

So you can expect him from anytime from now till Christmas I'd say.

I'm pleased with this, Premium Blackout and StealthBee are on my wantlist. Hopefully the Premium Universe will be reasonably priced, it's great to see that sort of thing making it here. Such lovely packaging..

Remember that the Premium leaders (Meh) are already here, its not that surprising were getting the rest. is it too little to late though? as there is already a glut of move toys Still on the shelves + Wave one TFA's!

I assumed we would get the Megas, but with the current glut, I'm betting they'll be in short supply. Kmart's clearanced out theirs as cheaply as $25 a piece.

By the by, the shelf date for the ROTF stuff is world first news.

It is, but in the interest of Hasbro USA not getting in a tanty i'd refrain from telling anyone on US boards about it just yet.

Information good, thanks for the heads up there Stars.
Glad that we should see the Premium Movie Voyagers as I wanted to find myself a Blackout in Singapore and didn't.

Can't remember if I've asked you before SSNZ... But can you ask these Hasbro chumps what's up with the price hikes on Marvel Legends? Cheers :)
