Quote: Well, it looks like Red Square and the Sears Tower are the next global landmarks facing swift and explosive destruction at the hands of Michael Bay and his enormous robot troops, with the news that Transformers 3 is set to film in Moscow and Chicago.
The sequel, which is set for July 2011, starts shooting in May, with Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf returning to play the hapless humans running away from rampaging robots (probably carrying a Macguffin) and Ehren Kruger writing the script (not joined this time by original screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman). Bay has previously promised that this one will not go for more and bigger explosions, instead delving into the Transformers' mythos and becoming "darker". We'd still bet Grandma on there being a fair whack of destruction though, so remember that "fewer explosions" is relative. http://www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=27144

Hmmmmm, wonder what this might really mean, seeing as the second one was supposed to have alot more character development.

All they need to do to make me happy is to turn a typhoon class sub into a Decepticon. The rest will be mindless dribble

Unicron would be pretty awful, since there's nothing they can do to top that. Metroplex or Trypticon, definitely, that'd be a fantastic spectacle. But what's to do after Unicron? We still haven't had proper gestalts fighting either, that's something that needs to be filmed.

Gestalts, or even Sky Lynx or an Omega Supreme I'd look forward to, I'm not too keen on the idea of a Bayafied Metroplex / Fortmax ect. A triple or quadruple changer could be successful.

Because accuracy is more important than play value, kids! Subria suggested Trypticon emerge from the slums of Mumbai, I've been fascinated with that idea ever since.

That would be epic... all the streets ripping apart, buildings falling over but not. Dunno about a slum city bot though.... you'd just give a good kick and it'd fall apart How about Hong Kong turning into Scorpinok?
